<summary>How does BIOS flashing change my TPM serial?</summary>

Some motherboard BIOS updates contain a TPM vulnerability fix that regenerates your TPM serial when flashed. This is not a guaranteed method and depends on your specific motherboard model and BIOS version.

### Method 1: TPM Vulnerability BIOS Update

Some BIOS versions contain a vulnerability fix that regenerates your TPM serial. Check if your motherboard model is on the compatible list below. If it is, flash to the specific BIOS version mentioned.

**This method has the highest success rate if your model is listed.**

**Compatible Models | TPM VULNERABILITY:**

**Look for these keywords in the BIOS update description on your manufacturer's website:**

* `Critical fTPM firmware upgrade, enhancing security and optimizing game compatibility.`
* `Improved security by updating TPM firmware for better game compatibility`
* `AMD TPM-B/fTPM firmware and CVE-2025-2884` <mark style="color:$success;">AMD GIGABYTE</mark>
* `Updated fTPM version` <mark style="color:$success;background-color:$primary;">ASROCK</mark>

Search you motherboard: <https://pastebin.com/eejE4Ysv>
{% endhint %}

{% hint style="success" %}

### Method 2: Flash Oldest, Then Newest (Intel)

For **Intel processors only**: Flash to the oldest available BIOS version first, then flash to the newest version. This double-flash method can trigger a TPM serial regeneration on some Intel systems.

*This does not work on AMD systems.*

**WARNING:** Flashing to the oldest BIOS version can be risky — ensure that BIOS version supports your current CPU. We are not responsible for any damages to your motherboard. If you find this too risky, consider skipping this method.
{% endhint %}

### Method 3: Flash One Version Down (Fallback)

If your model isn't on the compatible list and you don't have Intel, try flashing to **one version below** your current BIOS. This works fine as well, you will need to use our [**TPM Spoofing ↗**](https://permanent-woofer.gitbook.io/optimizer-tutorial/vgk/vgk-valorant-lol.../ftpm-spoofing) solution to spoof your TPM.
